Craig M. Oberweger
Craig Oberweger has been employed at Seiden, Alder, & Matthewman, P.A., as an associate specializing in complex commercial litigation since March of 2008.
Upon graduating law school Craig worked for the Federal Defenders office for the Southern District of Florida, and then provided contract legal work to two law firms and a private internet telephony company.
During law school, Craig served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mark Polen of the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal and was a law clerk at Akerman Senterfitt attached to the Bankruptcy Litigation practice group.
For the 12 years prior to going to law school, Craig was a securities principal for Trading and Compliance attaining the level of COO and Head Trader for a Venture Capital firm and an International Broker/Dealer. Craig was actively involved in institutional client development, developed the firm’s capital markets strategies, directed the firm’s trading activities, supervised a staff in excess of 60, had overall responsibility for the Trading Department P&L and was responsible for the firm’s compliance with all federal and state securities laws, rules and regulations, as well as the rules and regulations of all exchanges on which the firms traded.
Craig’s experiences have provided him with a keen level of business acumen, a familiarity with the intersection of law and business, and legal skills and perspective that is truly unique.
Craig received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern’s Shepard Broad Law School in December of 2006, graduating in 2.5 years and is a member of the Florida Bar.
Craig lives in South Florida with his wife Jamie and two children Logan and Eric.
