The Criminal Defense Practice Group concentrates on the criminal defense of clients charged in all types of criminal cases, including state and federal cases as well as complex white-collar cases. Our attorneys regularly appear in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, in all federal courts, as well as internationally in both trial and appellate court matters.

The Criminal Defense Practice Group is headed by William D. Matthewman, who has over twenty years experience in the criminal justice system, and has experienced the criminal justice system from both sides as a former police officer and as a criminal defense attorney. Bill is a recognized expert on criminal matters and lectures frequently on a broad range of criminal trial matters and matters relating to the criminal justice system. Our attorneys have an in-depth practical knowledge of federal and state criminal practice and state criminal practice and procedure. This group also represents clients who are the subject of, or the target of, any state or federal investigation, as well as grand jury investigations. Any pre-indictment or pre-charging concerns can be dealt with by our attorneys.
