Jake Nachmani is an experienced litigator who has successfully worked on a wide range of sophisticated disputes over his career. Mr. Nachmani worked extensively on the BP Oil Spill Litigation, the General Motors Securities Litigation, as as other numerous federal securities class actions on behalf of institutional investors. He has years of experience litigating in federal and state courts across the United States, and his expertise includes complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, antitrust litigation, internal investigations, class actions, employment disputes, products liability, and deal-related litigation. Mr. Nachmani graduated magna cum laude and with honors from Brown University and Georgetown University Law Center.

  • Representing a producer of biodiesel fuel producer in a ground-breaking insurance litigation, alleging breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing and seeking consequential damages against a syndicate of international insurers in the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
  • Representing a global mining company in connection with its nickel mining operations in Guatemala.
  • Representing an engineering and semi-conductor parts company and its owner in a bet-the-company commercial dispute concerning declaratory ownership of the company in the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
  • Representing syndicates of international insurers of aircrafts and providers of aviation insurance in an insurance coverage litigation arising out of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine and the Russian government’s subsequent nationalization of the covered aircrafts in the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
  • Represented the former general counsel of an electronic vehicle manufacturer in an employment dispute in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
  • Represented an international shipping company in connection with its commercial dealings with a German-based financial institution.
  • Represented a group of defrauded investors of a Chinese-based software company in a securities fraud action in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
