Seasoned litigator Thomas Mott has joined Seiden Law LLP as Counsel in its litigation practice group. With over a decade of experience representing clients in U.S. federal and state courts, Tom brings his relentlessness, creativity, and client-focus thinking to the complex commercial cases handled around the U.S. and globally by Seiden Law.
Tom comes to the firm from Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP after starting his career at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP. Over the course of his career, Tom has worked on a multitude of commercial disputes involving banks, insurers, hedge funds, private equity firms in a broad range of cases concerning contracts, shareholders’ rights, activist investor campaigns, breaches of fiduciary duty, business torts (including fraud and unfair competition), bankruptcy, trusts and estates, cross-border issues, complex financial products, securities, commercial leases, federal regulators, insurance coverage, employment issues, voting rights, software implementations, and defamation.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Thomas served in a summer clerkship under the Hon. Robert H. Cleland of the US District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Cornell University and grew up just outside Detroit, Michigan.
