Andrew Astuno Represents at SEC DeFi Roundtable in Washington D.C.

Jun 12, 2025

On June 9, 2025, Andrew Astuno attended the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Roundtable on Decentralized Finance (DeFi): American Spirit in Washington, D.C. There, senior SEC leadership and market participants engaged in a candid dialogue on the future of crypto asset regulation. The event highlighted differing regulatory philosophies and directly addressed the implications of the recently introduced Clarity Act of 2025, a legislative proposal now pending in the U.S. House of Representatives but not yet passed.

Following the roundtable, Andrew Astuno attended a networking event organized by the FinTech Foundation, where Commissioner Hester Peirce addressed the attendees, discussing the ongoing work by the SEC’s Crypto Task Force, which included interagency coordination and emerging standards for DAO governance.
